Description
Join us for the Cardboard Boat Regatta at the Indoor Pool! The pool will be transformed into a racecourse for the day. Awards from each category will be given for the Best Titanic Moment, Best Boat, and Team Spirit to the Top 3 crews. Each boat will start from the pool's shallow end and navigate the course, pressing the touchpad at the end to record their official time. To ensure fair competition, boats will run individually. Don't miss out on the fun!

Rules
- Boats must be primarily constructed from Cardboard.
- Only materials permitted are Cardboard and Duct or Packing Tape
- Cardboard must be clean and cannot have been treated or waxed.
- The boat cannot be wrapped in tape; however, using tape to reinforce the bottom and keel of the boat is acceptable.
- Decorating the boat with paint is allowed; however, the paint cannot be intended to seal the cardboard. This will be at the discretion of the entry judges.
- Any boats that are found to be violating any of these rules will be disqualified and placed into the Outlaw Category.
- A good rule of thumb that will prevent most disqualifications is that 50% of the surface should be exposed cardboard.
- Boats must fit inside a 5ft by 7ft area.
- Crew must be wholly inside the boat for their run. Team members must remain visible for the entire run.
- Boats must be inspected before the race and held in parc fermé, and no further adjustments or modifications may be made.
- Entrants must provide their oars and paddles. Oars and paddles can be made from any material.
- Boats must be powered by crew wholly inside the boat, without any electrical aids.
- No Kicking/Walking/Swimming the boat
- No motors.
- Any size team can support each boat; however, a dedicated crew member/members must be assigned to each boat, and after the boat is placed in parc fermé, only the designated crew member may interact or handle the boat. Aquatics will provide stewards to help move boats into position.
- Winners of each category will be determined by the fastest time. If a boat cannot complete the course, its distance through the course will be measured. If no boat completes the course, the winners will be determined by the furthest distance traveled.
- After a boat has finished the race, the crew will be responsible for removing any leftover cardboard debris from the water.
- All crew members must wear a bathing/swimsuit for their run.
- Boats must be powered by crew wholly inside the boat, without any electrical aids.
